Learn From Experts and Through Experiences

Our world class, award winning faculty are dedicated to a superior student experience that prepares you for success. Outside the classroom, you’ll regularly work in the studio or on the stage, practicing and honing your skills.

Undergraduate students may also choose to study abroad at Gordon’s signature arts program in Orvieto, Italy; see the world’s best plays in the U.K. on a faculty-led seminar; or tour with a Gordon ensemble or chamber music group.

On campus you may take masterclasses with Grammy award-winning guest artists or join a drama clubs, film festival or speaking competition. Off campus students complete internships at design firms, museums, galleries, churches, schools and community theatre programs.

Uniquely Collaborative

The Adams School of Music and the Arts is an intentionally collaborative hub of all creative disciplines at the College: music, art, theatre and communication arts. In it, you’ll find an atmosphere of wide-thinking, possibility-brimming, joy-filled creativity. As both a creative and Christian community, we experience deepened faith through the arts—creating, studying and enjoying them together.

From the very beginning of your Gordon experience, you’ll be welcomed by your advisor, invested faculty and peers, who will all shape and support your experience as you work to reach your God-given potential.

From the dean

Sarita Kwok, dean of the Adams School

“The Adams School of Music and the Arts is a community of faithful artists, musicians, storytellers and performers who share their creativity for the enrichment of our campus, the North Shore community and the world. The arts are integral to the Gordon College experience; we know how profoundly they deepen our connection to God and each other, and they provide a safe space for dialogue and healing in our increasingly polarized society. Our founder A. J. Gordon, himself a musician, championed music for all and paved the way for the transformative power of artistry and creativity at Gordon College today.”

Hear from a Gordon College grad

“The training and guidance I received at Gordon was incomparable. I feel able to approach rehearsals for various shows fully equipped with the tools to sing/learn multiple vocal parts and maintain vocal health despite the demands of the show. In addition, the faith-based, well-rounded coursework and opportunities gave me the unique opportunity to grow in my relationship with God while developing my musical craft.”
