TRANSFEROLOGY

Massachusetts Transfer Guarantee Program

Good news. If you're a student studying or planning to study at a Massachusetts community college, you are guaranteed credit when transferring to Gordon College. All you need is a minimum GPA of 2.5, an associate degree from a Massachusetts community college, and a plan to major in any one of our B.A. degrees or B.S. degrees. At Gordon, we value that as a transfer you have already been a hard-working college student prior to submitting an application to us. We understand that evaluating the courses you intend to transfer is one of the most important pieces of your college decision. When a transfer student has been offered acceptance to Gordon College, we request a Transfer Evaluation to be completed by our Registrar’s Office. We intend for you to receive your evaluation before making a final college choice.

If you’ve taken any college credits after graduating high school, you’ll want to apply as a transfer student!

We want to make sure Gordon is as affordable as possible for our students. Transfer students are automatically awarded a merit scholarship ranging from $11,000 to $15,000 per year. Transfers also qualify for additional scholarships through music and fine arts, church matching, and more. You can check out our aid opportunities and Transfer Scholarship Calculator here →

Typically, 60 credits from a community or two-year college, or 60-90 credits from a combination of two and four-year institutions may be applied towards the Gordon College degree.

The TVF is the only extra requirement for transfer applicants. This form includes three simple questions to be filled out by a Dean of Students or other college officials who can verify that a transfer applicant is in good academic and disciplinary standing with the sending school. If you have any difficulty getting this form completed, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Admissions Office.

Yes! Spring transfers are absolutely welcome on a rolling admission basis. When you’ve finished your application, you can expect a decision back in less than two weeks.
